How your child can instantly play THOUSANDS of songs
Here at Level Up Guitar School, we place a huge focus on students learning and completing songs. Our main goal is for our guitar students to continually add to their repertoire of songs and build up a song list they can play at the drop of a hat. After all, we don’t learn guitar just to learn guitar! We want your child to learn awesome songs and build up their song list FAST!
What if I told you that there is a way your child can literally play THOUSANDS of songs from just learning 4 fundamental chords? Too good to be true?
Actually, it’s quite simple.
Your child just needs to learn the G major, C major, D major and E minor chords. These popular chords are known as ‘POP chords’ and are the most commonly used chords in music. Thousands of pop songs that you and your child listen to on the radio most likely consist of these four fundamental chords but just in different arrangements and timings.

The above images are called Guitar Chord Diagrams or Chord Boxes. They are a visual representation of the guitar fretboard that tells us where to put our fingers to play a specific chord. Before playing these chords, you should make sure that your child’s guitar is “in tune”. Read this article on ‘How to Easily Tune A Guitar’ before attempting to play these chords. Remember, if your child’s guitar is ‘out of tune’, I can guarantee it will sound bad when playing these chords.
