Why our Guitar Lessons are great for Homeschoolers
We will 10X your child’s confidence in social situations
As a homeschooling parent, you are most likely looking for social events or activities that your child can participate in to help develop their social literacy. It can be difficult for a child who is homeschooled to develop critical social skills as they aren’t in social situations every day like they would be in the regular school system. Here at Level Up Guitar School, we pride ourselves on not only developing your homeschooled child’s guitar skills but also dramatically improving their social skills and helping them connect with others.
It is well known that the development of social skills is absolutely paramount to the future success of your child later on in life and we can help with that!
In their guitar lessons at Level Up Guitar School, your child will learn the critical social skills of:
Develop their listening skills
Collaborating and getting along with others
Developing patience and understanding
Asking for help from other students
Unlike other guitar teachers, we offer multiple lesson opportunities each week for keen students that want to attend more lessons per week. Depending on how much social exposure you want for your child, you can enroll them in special classes and workshops with other kids. Watch their creativity, confidence, and social skills increase dramatically in a short period of time. It is amazing to see shy students come out of their shells through the power of music!
We provide a positive and safe environment for your kids to flourish creatively
We ensure that our homeschooled guitar students feel relaxed, socially connected, and in a positive frame of mind during our lessons. We place a big focus on educating students to exhibit patience, empathy, and kindness toward each other at all times. It is important to us that our guitar lessons take place in a safe environment where there is no judgment toward someone’s guitar-playing abilities or personality. In this positive space, your child’s creativity will have no bounds and will be able to flourish exponentially, resulting in a happy and fulfilled human being.
We think and teach differently!
As a homeschooling parent, I’m sure that you can appreciate not sticking to the status quo and constantly questioning the way things have always been done. We do too!
For hundreds of years, there has been one main way that a person would learn a musical instrument. This is called the Individual Mentorship teaching model. This involves a student sitting down with an experienced guitar player for 30 mins- 1 hour once a week to learn guitar skills. There are normally no opportunities to collaborate, or experiment, and very few times when students can perform for others.
This model has been the status quo for a long time, but is it the best way to teach guitar to kids?
Although this model might be effective in the initial excitement stage of learning guitar, this way of learning quickly turns stale and uninteresting, when the student can’t use their practical guitar skills to connect socially with others.
Our unique guitar lessons for homeschoolers encourage kids to collaborate, experiment and review each other’s playing. When your child sees other kids playing their favorite riffs, it keeps their motivation at an all-time high each week and they are hungry to improve.
We run special monthly guitar workshops for homeschooling students in which they compare songs, experiment with guitar equipment (guitar pedals, amps, etc.), and collaborate musically. We spend minimal time explaining to your child how to play something and spend more time playing! We also do Guitar Concerts during the year for your child to showcase their new guitar talents and see their guitar friends perform.
We love doing things differently from other guitar teachers and we are confident your child will absolutely love our unique guitar lessons for Homeschooling kids. Book a free trial lesson now.
